Nathan Coakley
A TWO months adjournment for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions has been granted in a prosecution of two men on drug dealing charges following a €60,000 cannabis seizure in north County Dublin.
Nathan Coakley (27) and David Murray (31) are both charged with possession of the drug with intent to sell or supply.
Mr Coakley, from Buckingham Street Upper in Dublin’s north inner city and Mr Murray of Ballyshannon Road, Coolock, Dublin 17 are both alleged to have been in possession of cannabis at Malahide Road Roundabout in Swords on October 29 last.
Both men had appeared before Dublin District Court on October 30 where Coakley made no bail application and that time and was remanded in custody while Murray was granted bail.

At Swords District Court, Sergeant Patricia McGarrity requested a two month adjournment as directions have not yet been received from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Barrister Deirdre Flannery, for Mr Coakley who was not required to appear before the court due to Covid-19 restrictions, said there was “no issue” with the adjournment.
The court heard that Mr Murray appeared before the court last week and his case was adjourned until March 1 for directions.
Judge Dermot Dempsey then adjourned Mr Coakley’s case to the same date for the directions to be received.
