Zayn Malik lands British GQ's Best-Dressed title
Pop star Zayn Malik has been voted GQ magazine's Best-Dressed Man in Britain.
The former One Direction singer earned 59 per cent of the vote to win the U.K. publication's Reader's Play-Offs, beating Taylor Swift's ex, actor Tom Hiddleston, to take the crown.
Zayn previously impressed GQ readers with his sense of style in 2013, and his latest accolade makes him the first man in GQ's history to top the fan-voted portion of the competition twice.
His ex-bandmate Harry Styles took home the 2016 accolade last year (15).
The full GQ Best-Dressed Men in Britain 2017 list is set to be published in January (17).
Zayn has proven his fashion credentials in the past, taking a daring approach to the Met Gala in New York City in May (16), when he and his supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid wore co-ordinating metallic outfits to fully embrace the event's Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology theme.
The Pillowtalk singer matched his sharp black suit with armoured sleeves, and while the look attracted some negative comments, the majority of fans and critics applauded Zayn for his futuristic outfit.
"I was asked to design my own costume by Donatella Versace!" he exclaimed to Dazed magazine in June (16). "It was cool. I had seen a few people hitting me online, saying negative things about it. But I enjoyed it because they were saying I looked like a dude from Mortal Kombat, and it was actually based on a character (from the video game series), called Jax. He had metal arms, and the theme was technology, so I just took it from him.
"It's a bit easy to just dress up in a suit. I like to do things that are a bit outside of that."
Zayn, 23, has since joined forces with Italian fashion icon Versace to launch a new capsule collection for the Versus Versace line, titled Zayn x Versace.
