Woody Harrelson's vegan cheesecake made Mark Ruffalo throw up
Mark Ruffalo threw up on himself while filming the Now You See Me sequel after eating a "fake" cheesecake made by his vegan co-star Woody Harrelson.
The two actors reprise their roles from the 2013 action thriller for new movie Now You See Me: The Second Act, and Ruffalo has revealed he left his castmates disgusted after completing a drowning shoot, when he vomited on the sleeve of his suit jacket.
Behind the scenes footage from the incident was aired during Mark's interview on U.S. breakfast show Today on Thursday (09Jun16), when co-host Savannah Guthrie accused him of playing a prank on his co-stars.
"I acted like I vomited on myself? I did!" he exclaimed. "I'd swallowed water..."
Ruffalo went on to blame Woody for causing him to bring up his lunch as the dairy-free cheesecake the vegan actor had served up to the cast and crew that day had upset his stomach.
"First I ate Woody Harrelson's fake cheesecake, which was like a raw cashew cheesecake...," Mark explained. "It's a faux cheesecake, and so that wasn't sitting well with me after lunch, and then I had to do this coughing scene where I come out of the water from drowning, and... I'm coughing and coughing, and then all of a sudden I throw up!"
Despite his clear discomfort in the footage of his onset accident, Mark was quick to note how Woody and their fellow co-stars Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Eisenberg all jumped back at the sight of his vomit and failed to offer him aid.
"You see my fellow castmembers (in the clip), did anyone run to my side to help me?" he remarked. "They all ran away!"
Now You See Me: The Second Act also stars Morgan Freeman, Daniel Radcliffe, Dave Franco, and Michael Caine.
