Vin Diesel 'cares for godchildren after father's domestic violence arrest'
Vin Diesel's goddaughter reportedly called him for help after her father was arrested for domestic violence last week (end11Dec15).
The 48-year-old actor is godfather to his best friend Valentino Morales' four children. When Valentino was arrested after allegedly pushing his girlfriend and hitting her in the face, one of his daughters reportedly rushed to the phone and called Fast and Furious star Vin to help.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Vin stayed with his godchildren while Valentino was taken into custody and questioned by police. Valentino was later released from custody, after his girlfriend decided against pressing charges.
According to the website, Vin was unruffled by looking after four young children and did a "great job of calming them down during the incident".
Vin and Valentino have been friends for years, with the latter starring alongside his pal in nine films and video games to date.
Valentino has always been supportive of Vin's acting career, telling Men's Fitness magazine in a previous interview: "People don’t see him for what he really is. They only see a buff guy. But he’s a genius actor.”
Vin was famously given the task of looking after five children when he starred as a Navy SEAL-turned-babysitter in 2005 movie The Pacifier.
He is also no stranger to real-life parenthood, as he is father to seven-year-old daughter Hania, five-year-old son Vincent and baby daughter Pauline with girlfriend Paloma Jiménez.
The actor chose to name his daughter after his late Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in November 2013.
"He (Paul) was in the room," Vin told Today's Natalie Morales after Pauline's birth. "There's no other person that I'm thinking about as I'm cutting this umbilical cord. I knew he was there and I felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my memory, a part of my world."
