Tracy Morgan: Life's changed for the better

Actor Tracy Morgan is embracing life and work more after his near-fatal car crash in June 2014, as he used to fear he'd never walk again.

The star, known for his comic turns on shows like 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, was involved in a six-vehicle crash which killed his friend and collaborator James McNair and left Tracy in a coma. Now 17 months on, Tracy is firmly back at work and one of his latest ventures is a commercial for sports store Foot Locker, with the 47-year-old in awe of how far he's come.

"I remember this time last year I was in a wheelchair wondering if I was gonna walk again," Tracy marvelled to ET. "Now I'm doing a Foot Locker commercial."

"The things that worried me and that were important before aren't so important now. When you spend weeks in comas then you hear and see things differently. But I see life differently. I embrace it more. And to my fans, I'm glad I was able to come back and finish the job of making them laugh. This is for you."

Tracy's partner Megan Wollover supported him throughout his ordeal, with the pair tying the knot in August (15) after becoming engaged in 2011. They also have two-year-old daughter Maven together.

"She was my rock. (She) still is. She was right there telling me, 'Don't worry about it,'" the star gushed. "All she kept saying was, 'I love you,' and, 'Don't worry about it, you're gonna be better than ever.'"

Maven also played a crucial role in Tracy's recovery.

"She made me laugh a lot during my therapy," he smiled. "She loved daddy, and she made daddy laugh a lot."

As well as his new commercial, Tracy is also busy filming upcoming movie Fist Fight opposite Jessica Chastain, Ice Cube and Charlie Day. He also appears in Seth Rogen Christmas flick The Night Before.
