Tom Bleasby quits X Factor
Tom Bleasby has quit 'The X Factor'.
The 19-year-old singer - who was put through to Nick Grimshaw's judges' houses round in the boys' Six Chair Challenge, which aired Sunday (11.10.15) - has revealed he has decided to withdraw from the ITV show, citing "personal reasons".
He said in a statement: "Due to personal reasons I have decided to withdraw from 'The X Factor'. Thank you to all the judges, especially Nick for his belief in me.
"I want to wish all the contestants the best of luck and thank you to the public for supporting me and my dream."
However, a source has claimed Tom - who was due to appear in the next round alongside fellow boys Ben Clark, Che Chesterman, Josh Daniel, Seann Miley Moore and Simon Lynch - struggled with his confidence.
They told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "He didn't think he could progress vocally and in terms of his confidence."
A spokesperson from the talent show confirmed his exit, adding: "We can confirm that Tom Bleasby has chosen to withdraw from the competition due to personal reasons."
Tom had a rollercoaster ride whilst on the ITV show, particularly in the latest round when he wowed with his rendition of 'I Look To You'. He was later swapped out of Nick's chosen six in favour of Ben Clark but with the crowd so outraged by his decision, the radio DJ decided to bring him back.
