Snoop Dogg briefly arrested in Sweden
Snoop Dogg was briefly arrested in Sweden last night.
According to British newspaper The Guardian, the rapper was pulled over on suspicion of using illegal drugs.
The incident took place after Snoop had given a concert in the country.
“Police carrying out roadside controls noticed that Snoop Dogg [whose car was pulled over] seemed to be under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and taken to the police station to take a urine test,” Daniel Nilsson, a police spokesman for the central Uppsala region, explained to the publication.
“The incident lasted several minutes. Once the test was carried out he left.”
Apparently the results were not immediately available.
However, the musician addressed his fans in an Instagram video, claiming police had been unable to find any evidence of drug use.
“They took me down there, made me pee in a cup. They didn’t find sh*t,” he said in the short clip.
“It’s better to be searched and not found with nothing than not to be searched at all. F**k y’all.”
Snoop often raps about marijuana and has had other run-ins with the law over drug issues. In 2012 he was banned from entering Norway for two years after he tried to enter the country with a small amount of marijuana in his possession.
