Sienna Miller relocates to New York

Actress Sienna Miller has quit her native Britain for a fresh start in the U.S.

The American Sniper star split from her fiancee Tom Sturridge, the father of her daughter Marlowe, last year (15) and she is starting a new chapter by moving Stateside.

Her sister Savannah confirmed the move on Instagram by sharing a picture of Sienna sat on a guitar case outside John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Behind Sienna are three luggage trolleys piled high with suitcases and holdalls.

"It's official, she's a New Yorker," Savannah wrote in the caption with a love heart and Statue of Liberty emojis.

The 34-year-old actress told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper she felt more inspired by the Big Apple, where she was born and raised until just over one year old, and spent time while she was studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute aged 18.

“I feel like people come to New York to do something. I kind of dine out on that energy," she said. “Everyone is here because they’re like: ‘I have something to say, something to do and I’m going to do it'... I find New York, at the moment, a little bit more inspiring.”

In comparison, she admits she finds London "cliquey" and often feels she is "swimming through mud."

Sienna has taken her four-year-old daughter Marlowe and she previously told PORTER magazine in May (16) that she wanted to give her child a sibling and was feeling "very broody for more babies".

However, it is thought she is currently single following her split from Tom, who she dated for four years until their split in June 2015. She told British Vogue magazine the past year had been so overwhelming due to a resurgence in her career at the same time as the break-up.

"Everything's shifting. It's actually been the s**ttiest year, and amazing. It's always yin and yang," she said.
