Shannen Doherty settles legal battle with former managers

Shannen Doherty and her former managers have settled their legal spat over her medical insurance mishap.

The actress filed suit against bosses at Tanner, Mainstain, Glynn & Johnson, claiming their oversight left her uninsured.

As a result, she missed a number of check-ups and when she was eventually able to get an appointment under her renewed coverage, she was diagnosed with cancer - something medical experts believe may have been caught earlier had she had a routine physical in 2014.

The saga has dragged on for the past year as the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star battles cancer, but now it seems both sides have reached a settlement just days after lawyers for the firm filed a motion to depose the actress again.

Her ex-manager, Steven Blatt, and his legal team initially deposed Doherty for seven hours - the standard time allotted in California, but insisted on four more hours.

In papers obtained by TMZ, Blatt claimed Doherty refused to undergo more questioning because she is too sick, but he alleges that days before the star's first deposition, she posted photos on social media of herself partying in New York City and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also stated she visited Australia for a fan convention, and has done multiple TV interviews while receiving treatment.

Doherty has yet to comment on the settlement, but posted an upbeat video of her playing tennis on Instagram on Monday (22Aug16), with the caption: "Joined @kurtiswarienko (husband Kurt Warienko) for tennis with #coachtim today. I didn't last long cause stamina is a bit low but I got to do this!!!"

She added: "just getting out on the court again felt so good!!" and the hashtags "#happymonday" and "#fightlikeagirl".

The settlement details are confidential.
