Ryan Reynolds' frisky four-legged friend
Ryan Reynolds caused a dog to get a "frightening erection" every time he hugged or patted it on the set of his new film.
The 38-year-old actor stars as mentally ill Jerry Hickfang in upcoming black comedy 'The Voices', in which his pet cat attempts to convince him to become a serial killer while his pet pooch tries to stop him, but the Hollywood hunk got a bit too close to the concupiscent canine leading to his four-legged friend getting frisky.
He said: "The dog and I got along just great - too well some may say.
"When I would hug or pet him he would produce a frightening erection. That was a bit troublesome."
While Ryan got on well with his on-screen pet dog, he wasn't quite as good pals with the pussy as the ferocious feline developed an obsession with trying to tear out his oesophagus.
He explained: "The cat I was working with I respected like I would respect a leopard. It didn't like me and whenever we did a scene, it would try to remove my thorax with its claws."
But one person who wasn't aggressive or over-friendly on set was his wife Blake Lively - who he has a three-month-old daughter, whose name is yet to be unveiled, with - but the star admits the blonde stunner wasn't overly impressed with his alter-ego's fashion choices in the film.
He added to Metro newspaper: "I remember when my wife came to visit the set of 'The Voices' for the first time. I walked into my trailer covered in blood and she was absolutely appalled.
"I said, 'I'm sorry. In the next scene they will wash the blood off.'
"But she said it wasn't the blood that freaked her out. It was the hideous jeans and the terrible blackberry shirt that were off-putting. That outfit just screamed sexual predator!"
