Rose McGowan urges the media to stop covering Donald Trump
Actress Rose McGowan has slammed the media for "propagating this propaganda" surrounding presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
In an open letter addressed to "Enablers and Donald" and posted online, the Grindhouse star has attacked the journalists and news reporters who have been covering the Republican Party's candidate for the White House race, accusing them of stressing her and "most of the nation" out.
"WE ARE BEING POISONED," she writes. "We, the public, are being sickened by an ever expanding assault on our right to live a healthy and free life. Donald & you ratings driven colluders, are holding us the public hostage and exposing us to disease.
"Our symptoms are knots in our shoulders, sick feelings in the pit of our vaginas, stomach tightness, shortness of breath, wildly elevated stress levels - we are now chronically experiencing a true mass illness. Caused by you. You all had a hand in this. You must take ownership of this situation."
She goes on to accuse the media of "causing a worldwide sickness", adding, "You are poisoning your very own family and us, your brothers and sisters. This is real. We are sick. Living with your daily reign of terror cancer... I do not want to live my life this way."
Calling herself a proud American and "GLOBAL CITIZEN", Rose rages: "We, the public, need for you to look for your humanity... Think different. Do better... Stop poisoning humanity. Go rogue, reverse course, be BRAVE."
She concludes her missive by calling Trump "a murderer in the making", and urges the American media to "UNPLUG THE MICROPHONES" and "STOP COVERING HIM".
Trump has divided America with his remarks about immigrants, Muslims, women and his Democrat opponent Hillary Clinton, suggesting earlier this week that gun owners could turn on the former First Lady if she becomes the next President and appointed judges on the Supreme Court who favour stricter weapon control measures following a spate of mass shootings.
