Rob Kardashian hospitalised with diabetes - report

Kim Kardashian's brother Rob has reportedly been hospitalised in Los Angeles and diagnosed with diabetes.

The 28-year-old has been battling weight issues over the last couple of years and his health took a turn for the worse over the weekend (26-27Dec15).

He was admitted to a local hospital, where doctors performed a number of tests and subsequently revealed he was diabetic, according to TMZ.com.

Rob Kardashian was still under doctors' care, in a stable condition, as WENN went to press.

The reality TV regular began piling on the pounds following his 2012 split from singer Rita Ora, and his ballooning weight has prompted him to take a step back from appearing on the family reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

He was last seen in public in June (15).

There have been conflicting reports on how committed he is to his health, with some outlets claiming Rob has been exercising and monitoring his diet and others noting he has gone off the rails once again.

Earlier this year (2015) his eldest sister Khloé Kardashian opened up about just what her brother has been going through.

“Rob definitely has his ups and downs, and he's been struggling for the past year and a half, maybe two years, which I think we've all had those times in our life,” she told E! News. "Right now I'm really proud of him. He's been working out a little and trying to get his groove back. And he acknowledges it! He's aware that he's very introverted and of course not the way he used to be. I think being aware is probably the best thing."
