Relley C voted off X Factor
Relley C has been sent home from 'The X Factor'.
The 26-year-old singer - who was battling a cold - failed to impress the judges with her rendition of 'I Can't Make You Love Me' and the panel opted to save girl group 4 Of Diamonds after the sing-off instead.
Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell all opted to vote off Relley home, with only her mentor Sharon Osbourne wanting to see her through to next week.
Despite her upset at being voted off, Relley insisted she was happy to have made it past the first week.
She said: "From the start I said if can make it to the first live show I'd be happy... I could have done with a bit more time but I'm happy I got this far."
Her mentor, Sharon, added: "She's a strong girl and she's a fighter."
Ryan Lawrie had also found himself in the bottom three on Sunday's (23.10.16) results show, but was saved by the votes cast on the show's official app.
The programme caused slight controversy when host Dermot O'Leary was forced to apologise after hopeful Gifty Louise swore when she learned Sam Lavery had made it through to next week's show.
Sam had hugged her mentor Simon Cowell as Gifty screamed: "I f***ing told you."
Dermot later said: "You may have heard some inappropriate language.
"But as you can imagine, emotions are high."
Relley's departure was the first since voting changed to enable viewers to vote for their favourite acts from the beginning of Saturday (22.10.16) night's show, rather than after the performances have all aired.
Next week will see the hopefuls perform tracks that fit the Fright Night theme.
