Rebel Wilson: My size makes me funny
Rebel Wilson thinks it is her size that makes her funny.
The 'Pitch Perfect' star insists her plus size figure is what made her comedy career such a success.
She said: "There's something about me that people like laughing at."
Recalling the time she had an epiphany to pile on the pounds and focus on comedy, she added: "I was like, 'Oh. That girl's getting a lot of laughs, a lot easier than me. What is it?' Because I don't think there's much difference in talent.
"And I remember distinctly thinking, 'I think it's because she's fatter'. And then, I don't know if it was mega-conscious, but I thought, 'How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter ...' And then suddenly I was fatter, and doing comedy."
And the 36-year-old actress insists she sees her size as an "advantage" whilst other women feel being plus size is a "disadvantage".
She added to The Telegraph newspaper: "I saw my size as being an advantage whereas so many women see it as a disadvantage."
Meanwhile, Rebel previously revealed she likes being curvy.
She shared: "To me, getting an A+ in school is better than getting an A and I'm being called 'plus'. I kind of like being curvy and eating dessert every second night so that's kind of why I am the way I am."
