Nadiya Hussain moves home for baking career
Nadiya Hussain is moving to Milton Keynes to follow her baking dream.
The 'Great British Bake Off' winner has revealed she's put her family home in Leeds up for sale after winning the baking competition so she can be closer to London for work opportunities and have her family nearby to help out with her and her husband Abdal's three kids.
She shared: "When I entered the show my husband said if I won we'd put the house up for sale.
"So we did it that same day. Now we're moving to Milton Keynes. I'll be closer to my family who can help look after the children."
Nadiya was studying for a degree in childhood and youth studies before she beat finalists Ian Cumming and Tamal Ray to the 'GBBO' title last month and dazzled judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood with her impressive showstopper, a "big fat British wedding cake".
But now that she'll be closer to London, she's hoping she can grab some of the "amazing offers" that have flooded in.
She told The Sun newspaper: "It is just a short commute to London, so I won't miss out on opportunities.
"I've had some amazing offers. It's been really tough not being able to say 'Yes'."
