Mike Myers welcomes third child
Funnyman Mike Myers is a new dad after his wife gave birth to a daughter.
The Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery star and his partner, Kelly, welcomed a girl in New York City on Monday (02Nov15).
A spokeswoman confirmed the news, telling the Associated Press the couple is "elated" following the birth of Paulina Kathleen, and mother and baby are doing well.
The couple, who wed in 2010, are parents to two other children - a son named Spike, who was born in 2011, and daughter Sunday Molly, who arrived last year (14).
"Anyone who tells you fatherhood is the greatest thing that can happen to you, they are understating it. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life," Mike, 52, previously gushed about the joys of parenting.
"I knew I wanted to be a father, I didn't know it was going to be this awesome or that my kid would come out so beautiful and lovely."
Besides his brood, Mike has his movie career to focus on. There are rumours he could return to the Austin Powers franchise with a fourth film, something he wouldn't rule out.
"The quick answer is: yes, I’m prepared to do anything, you know, if it’s good," he admitted to gq.com in 2014. "If it feels like it’s going to be thrilling. You know, one of the great things of turning 50, one of the great things of becoming a parent, is I get to be me. I don’t have to please anybody. I’m extremely happy with how things are going, have gone, and will go. I’m very grateful for my beautiful family and I’m grateful that I got to choose an artist’s life. But I don’t have to explain myself to anybody."
