Michael Lohan has passport revoked

Michael Lohan has had his passport revoked.

The showbiz patriarch has been banned from leaving the US and had his driving license suspended until he pays over $16,000 in child support back payments to ex-wife Dina Lohan, the mother of his four oldest children, 'Mean Girls' star Lindsay, 28, Michael Jr., 27, singer-and-actress Ali, 21, and 18-year-old Cody.

According to TMZ, a Florida judge queried why the 54 year old had been driving around in a luxury Maserati while not having paid his bill, so had his passport and driving privileges revoked - and if he doesn't pay by April 24, he will be jailed.

Michael - who also has daughter Ashley, 19, from a previous relationship and on Landon, two, with girlfriend Kate Major - phoned in during the hearing and promised the cheque was already on its way.

Sources close to the reality TV star insisted Michael isn't a "deadbeat bad", pointing out he spent $50,000 on a Raptor truck for his son, and also insisted he pays the children directly because he believes his ex-wife just spends the money on herself.

Though Michael reportedly submitted proof he has bypassed Dina and paid the kids, the judge was not satisfied and stressed he needed to make the official payment.
