Michael B. Jordan discusses Kendall Jenner dating rumours
Fantastic Four’s Michael B. Jordan is amazed some fans were so hostile about the idea of him dating Kendall Jenner, as he never considers race.
The 28-year-old actor was photographed leaving a Met Ball after-party with the reality TV star-turned-model in May (15). Although any romance rumours were quickly quashed, some of Jordan’s admirers were unhappy about the prospect of him dating the 19-year-old – something he can’t get his head around, given the year.
He told GQ magazine: “It’s the world we live in. They see white and black. I don’t. Kendall’s a friend of mine, you know. I don’t know her, like, that well, but I know her enough.
“A lot of black fans were feeling like, ‘Oh, my God, he should have been with a black woman,’ and that whole thing. I get it, but on the other hand it’s, like, relax. You know - it’s 2015.”
At the moment Jordan is focused on his career. He began working in 1999, but it was when he was cast as Wallace in cult US TV show The Wire in 2002 that things really began to take off.
Realising how much he loved acting, the star promised himself that he would dedicate his entire 20s to his career. He’s stuck to that, meaning he hasn’t had any serious relationships.
That’s not to say he has been short of offers though, with Jordan admitting his fame means he’s a big hit with the ladies.
He explained: “I understand what females want and need, you know. I’m good at that. I don’t know if I’m the guy to give it to them right now. I’m emotionally unavailable. Until I find something that’s so undeniable that I can’t help myself. The females, they’ll always be there. Like honestly, bro, oh my God. Female-wise now? I ain’t got to do too much work. And it’s weird, because I’m the same guy. I haven’t f**king changed, right? I haven’t done anything different… OK maybe a blockbuster film.”
