Melissa Rivers reveals plan for mother Joan's ashes
Melissa Rivers is planning to scatter her parents' ashes separately.
The 47-year-old TV producer claims her late mother Joan Rivers - who died following complications from an endoscopic procedure almost eight months ago - banned her from mixing her remains with her late father Edgar Rosenberg's because she was "still kind of angry" with him for committing suicide in 1987.
However, Melissa still hasn't decided where's ashes should be scattered.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, she said: "She always said to me, 'Don't you ever mix my ashes with your father's.' Because she was still kind of angry about the suicide. As much as she got over it, she didn't really get over it."
Imagining what would happen if Joan and Edgar met in the afterlife, Melissa joked: "I'm telling you, if there's an afterlife, my dad's reaction was like, 'Oh s**t! She's here and she's p***ed."
While Melissa and her 14-year-old son, Cooper, were devastated by the 'Fashion Police' star's death, she insists they are both learning to live without their beloved Joan in their lives.
Asked what she would say to her mother if she could, she revealed: "I'd say, 'I love you. I miss you. You have no idea how much you meant to Cooper. And we're OK.' We're going to be OK."
