Melissa McCarthy doesn't worry about her weight

Melissa McCarthy has stopped worrying about her weight.

The 'Spy' actress, who recently lost an estimated 45 pounds, admits she feels "amazing," but insists she didn't do go on a drastic diet.

Asked how she slimmed down, the 44-year-old actress, who has daughters Vivian, eight, and Georgette, five, with husband Ben Falcone, initially joked: "It's crying a lot. I'm crying off the pounds."

When pushed for more details about her weight loss, the 'Tammy' star told CBS 'This Morning': "I feel amazing. I finally said, 'Oh for God's sake stop worrying about it,' and it may be the best thing I've ever done.

"I truly stopped worrying about it. I stopped over-analysing, over-thinking, over-doing anything. I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it and I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. I could've figured that out before 44, but whatever."

Melissa, who is working on her own plus size apparel line Melissa McCarthy Seven7 with Sunrise Brands, previously admitted she no longer cares about being perfect.

She said: "I have caught my reflection and thought, Oof. That girl is struggling. That girl is tired. I've had mornings where I'm like, Oh God, I have weird hair. I look like Fraggle Rock.

"[But] who cares if my eyes are puffy because I ate 44 almonds last night? Or my legs are short? To my core, I don't care ... I've let go of that quest for perfection."
