Meghan Trainor happy to chase guys
Singer Meghan Trainor isn't ashamed to admit she makes all the moves when trying to win over a guy.
The 22-year-old has soared to fame since the release of her debut hit track All About That Bass, but unfortunately the same can't be said for her life. Currently single, Meghan is open to meeting a man, but feels her star status makes it hard to find a stable boyfriend.
"I finally have all my dreams come true, yet I can't get hit on," she sighed to Britain's Metro newspaper. "I used to think there must be something wrong with me but then I'm just so busy. It's different from a regular job.
"I finally had a fling happen very recently but that died very fast because of his career. I definitely make all the moves and I will set up dates. But it's hard for them, I guess, to take me out because people might follow us."
While Meghan didn't reveal who the mystery guy was, she did open up about what she looks for in the opposite sex. Humour is the most important quality for the musician, as she often finds she's the one cracking jokes most of the time.
Luckily her packed schedule means she doesn't have much time to sit and wallow in her single status. Along with her music Meghan is eyeing up a spot on the panel of TV show The Voice UK, as it sets to relaunch on a new British channel next year (17). She's thrown her name into the mix after performing on the programme's finale last weekend (09-10Apr16).
"I want is so bad!" she gushed. "I think it would be awesome and I know I would be good at it, too."
If she were to be offered the role, she'd follow in the footsteps of former female judges Jessie J, Kylie Minogue and Rita Ora. Paloma Faith was the latest lady to grace the line-up, joining will.i.am, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson and fellow newcomer Boy George.
