Madonna is a 'worried' mother

Madonna has admitted she's a very "worried" mother.

The 56-year-old singer can't help but stress over her 18-year-old daughter Lourdes when she visits her at college and likes to make sure the youngster is looking after herself properly.

Speaking on 'Today', she explained: "I'm very, you know, worried. 'Are you OK? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you eating right?' You know, I set up a humidifier in her room with eucalyptus oil.

"I was worried about the fact that she didn't have enough towels, Q-tips, you know."

Meanwhile, the 'Living for Love' hitmaker - who also has children, Rocco, 14, David, nine and Mercy, eight - recently revealed she has a difficult time saying 'no' to her kids and would rather advise them than give them strict rules.

She said previously: "I'm not a fan of taking drugs, but I'm not gonna tell my daughter not to do things. I'm just telling her to be careful. [I tell her] never take a drink that you haven't seen somebody pour in front of you. Don't mix alcohol. Your basics, like be safe, do everything in moderation. That's it. That's all I can do."

When asked if she talks about sex with her children, she added: "It's just a fact of life isn't it? Somehow, it's gonna happen sometime. It happened to you, so it's gonna happen to [Lourdes].

"All you can do is [stress] safe sex. Have discussions about it and encourage her to be open with you about it and not judgmental.

"Because then they won't feel like they can come to you and talk to you - ask you for your advice and stuff."
