Lenny Henry to host 2015 TV Choice Awards
Lenny Henry is to host the 2015 TV Choice Awards.
The 56-year-old comedian will take to the stage to oversee the annual awards ceremony which is to be held at The Hilton on London's Park Lane on September 7.
The stars of the nation's favourite shows from soaps to dramas will be in attendance as the magazine marks its 19th year of prize-giving.
Included in the long-list of nominations are the BBC's hit new period drama 'Poldark', which saw viewers swoon over 'The Hobbit' actor Aidan Turner, ITV's 'Cilla', 'Ordinary Lies' and the current Sky Living mini-series 'The Enfield Haunting'.
The Best Talent Show category could see 'The Great British Bake Off' go up against 'Strictly Come Dancing', 'MasterChef' and 'The Jump' in a bid to snatch the title from last year's winners 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Meanwhile, the nation's favourite soap stars will be battling it out for the Best Soap accolade, which was won by 'EastEnders' last year and could remain in their hands thanks to their 30th anniversary week of live and semi-live episodes.
Danny Dyer is also likely to be in attendance once again after claiming the 'Best Soap Actor' gong for his impressive first year on the east London based soap last year.
The ceremony sees TV Choice's 2 million readers pick their winners by voting online or via the forms provided in the magazine.
