Lamar Odom ‘getting better day by day’

Lamar Odom ‘getting better day by day’

Basketball star Lamar Odom is reportedly “doing much better” and improving each day, nearly two weeks after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.

The former LA Lakers player has been in hospital since 13 October (15) following a stay at the Love Ranch South. He was believed to have had a series of small strokes and suffered from organ failure but last week (ends23Oct15) was well enough to be transferred to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Despite wife Khloé Kardashian cancelling a book tour to remain with him, the 35 year old is thought to be improving slowly.

“He’s doing much better, still little by little,” a source told Us Weekly. “He is still getting lots of treatment but getting better day by day.”

The positive signs have allowed Khloé to spend a little time away from his bedside and she was photographed at her older sister Kim’s baby shower on Sunday (25Oct15). In the snap, the 31 year old is seen alongside Kim and Kourtney as well as half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. All five women relaxed in matching pyjamas for the Troop Beverly Hills themed shower.

“Khloé left the hospital two days ago,” the source continued. “Not yesterday, but the night before. She will still be going to see him but not staying there because he’s doing ok and wanted some alone time with his kids.”

Kim is expecting her second child with husband Kanye West and postponed her baby shower by a week in the wake of Lamar’s hospitalisation. The get together was the first time Khloé has been photographed with her family since the medical drama, having previously missed Kim’s birthday celebrations last week (ends23Oct15) and fashion designer Olivier Rousteing’s birthday party on Friday (23Oct).

The star also called off her plans to divorce Lamar last week (ends23Oct15) after initially filing papers in December 2013. The couple has decided to give their marriage another chance after being reunited by Lamar’s hospitalisation.
