Kris Jenner 'keen to keep Kendall on show'
Reality TV matriarch Kris Jenner is apparently eager to capitalise on daughter Kendall's huge popularity.
Kris is mother to Kendall and sister Kylie Jenner, as well as Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian. The family feature in hit show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which documents their everyday life and has catapulted them all to international stardom. However Kendall also now has a successful modelling career, so reportedly wants less involvement with the show. Mum Kris is having none of it though.
"Kris is a businesswoman and knows that, apart from Kim, Kendall has the biggest currency right now," a source told Britain's Grazia magazine. "Kris wants to capitalise on Kendall's popularity. What this means in practice is that Kendall features heavily in the edit of the 11th season, despite having been very vocal about her desire to scale back her commitment.
"She's been desperate to fade into the background until her contract is up, but Kris is determined to put her at the centre of the action."
The insider adds that Kendall has even told friends she feels like a 'prisoner' to the franchise, especially when her advisors are keen for her to focus all her energies in modelling and distance herself from the show.
Having walked for the likes of Chanel, Balmain and Michael Kors in the last crop of Fashion Week shows, her runway career is going from strength to strength. A move to Europe may be on the cards for the 20-year-old, which will give her distance from her family's series.
"She's being advised by close friend Lewis Hamilton," the source divulged. "He's encouraging her to move to Monte Carlo, where both he and (Topshop boss) Sir Philip Green live. Kendall isn't convinced, and prefers the idea of having a home in Paris, which would work well with her modelling career."
