Kim Zolciak is on the road to recovery
Reality star Kim Zolciak is home and "taking care of her health" after suffering a "mini stroke" last week (beg21Sep15).
The US star is competing in television show Dancing with the Stars but fell ill after she flew from Los Angeles back to her home in Atlanta.
Via an Instagram message she explained she had suffered a "mini stroke", during which the left side of her body went numb and she lost the ability of speech.
Now she has left the hospital and assures fans she is on the road to recovery.
"I want to thank everyone for their love and support over the past few days. I am now home with my family, resting and taking care of my health," she said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
She added that she hopes the health scare won't impact her work on Dancing with the Stars: "I can't express enough how much I love dancing and this whole experience, and I hope this will not be the end of dancing."
The 37-year-old has been keeping herself busy on Twitter since her release from hospital, communicating with her fans. Bigging up her show Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding, she encouraged everyone to tune in.
"Don't be Tardy 10pm @bravotv Tonight's episode is hilarious AND I face one of my biggest fears! #WhosWatching #TheyDontCallMeToughieForNothing #DontBeTardy (sic)," she tweeted her followers.
She's also received plenty of well wishes on social media, with Dancing with the Stars' Allison Holker reaching out to her colleague.
"Sending love @Kimzolciak !! Wishing you a speedy recovery. Your just absolutely beautiful!" she posted, with Kim responding: "Thank you doll".
It's not yet known when the mother-of-six will be able to return to the dancing show.
