Kim Kardashian bans selfies at launch of her book about selfies
Kim Kardashian banned fans from taking selfies at her book launch.
The reality TV star is said to have refused to let attendees take photographs during the event at Barnes and Noble in New York City yesterday despite the book, entitled Selfish, containing close to a decade's worth of selfies taken by the brunette beauty, spread out over 400 pages.
According to Yahoo! the ban was enforced to ensure the lines of fans waiting to have their book signed kept moving after eager customers camped over night outside the store on Fifth Avenue to be the first to get their hands on the publication and for the chance to meet the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star.
While fans were spotted trying to make themselves comfortable as they settled in for a long night outside the store on Monday, Kim, 34, spent the evening at the prestigious Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
While the venue, Vogue and its US editor Anna Wintour had also enforced their own selfie ban at the event, it seems Kim wasn't interested in sticking to the rules and updated her Instagram account with snaps from the star-studded bash throughout the night.
As well as posting a photo of herself and her "icon" Jennifer Lopez showing off their famous posteriors, she also shared selfies with her husband Kanye West, producer Diplo and Madonna, as well as Lady Gaga and Cher.
