Kim K: 'Selfie book isn't selling'

Kim Kardashian is apparently stressing over the poor sales of her selfie book.

The self-styled queen of selfies loves to update fans with her solo shots, and even posed in the mirror naked recently to prove her baby bump is real after reports she was faking her pregnancy.

Many people thought it was a brilliant business idea for Kim to pen book Selfish, which boasts 448 pages of her posing. However, fans seemingly aren't interested.

"Kim is stressing out over how poorly her book is selling, because she thought it was going to be an easy way to make big bucks," a source told US Star magazine.

"When she first presented the idea to publishers, her biggest selling points were her huge social media following and her ability to influence the masses. But now, she's starting to panic."

The publication goes on to state the book has only shifted 32,000 copies, though publisher Rizzoli say it's nearer the 125,000 mark. When you take into consideration Kim's 43.2 million Instagram followers, who see a daily stream of Kim's selfies, it doesn't paint a very good picture.

To help boost sales, Kim recently visited her Dash boutique in LA and signed books and took pictures with fans.

"She posed for countless selfies. Kim really thought the book would sell itself, but she has had to put in a lot of extra work in order to advance book sales and keep the publisher happy. She's even recruited Kris Jenner [mother] and [husband] Kanye West to help her promote the book," the source divulged.
