Kesha warns against shady people

Kesha has warned people to cut "shady f*****s" out of their lives.

The 29-year-old singer is currently embroiled in a battle with Dr Luke's record label Kemosabe, after accusing him of sexual abuse, but despite her recent issues, she is grateful for the "trustworthy and loyal" people in his life.

She wrote on Instagram: "I am also so happy I have some people in my life that are trustworthy and loyal. weed the shady f*****s out before they bite. trust me (sic)."

Earlier this month Kesha praised her fans after her Billboard Music Awards performance was approved.

Dr. Luke's Kemosabe label initially withdrew their permission for her to sing but after a public outcry from fans, approval was restored.

She shared an Instagram picture with the words: "You and I are more than friends. We're like a really small gang," and added the caption: "Good work. Looks like our voices can be heard after all."

The record company said it "restored approval" after gaining "reassurance" there would be no mention of the court battle when she took to the stage.

A statement from Kemosabe read: "Kesha's performance on the Billboard Music Awards was always approved, in good faith.

"Approval was only suspended when Kemosabe learned Kesha was to use the performance as a platform to discuss the litigation. Now that Kemosabe has obtained assurances, that it is relying upon, from Kesha, her representatives and Dick Clark Productions that neither Kesha nor her supporters will use the performance as such a platform, the approval has been restored."
