Jesy Nelson needed an injection in her bum to cure her suburn

Jesy Nelson once had to have an injection in her bottom for sunburn.

The Little Mix star spent all day lapping up the summer rays in Miami, Florida, which led her body to go into shock and an emergency doctor had to administer a jab in her backside to counteract the crippling side effects of heat stroke.

She explained to OK! magazine: "I went to Miami and got severely burnt a doctor had to come out and give me an injection in my bum."

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old star is no stranger to falling ill as she and her band - also consisting of Jade Thirwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards - were forced to cancel their gig in Belfast, Northern Ireland, earlier this year when she fell sick with a mystery ailment.

The 'Black Magic' hitmakers announced minutes after doors had opened at the SSE Arena in Belfast - where they were due to perform both matinee and evening shows - that they would not be able to take to the stage but would reschedule the show at a later date.

And at the end of last year, the brunette beauty was forced to pull out of the group's Japanese leg of their world tour after she was struck down with a "horrid" ear infection.

She said at the time: "Hey guys unfortunately I have a bloody horrid ear infection that is not allowing me to fly and see you beautiful Japanese mixers xjesyx. (sic)"
