Jessica Chastain shied away from strippers at bachelorette party

Jessica Chastain "panicked" at the thought of being pictured with a stripper's "junk" in her face.

The flame-haired actress threw a bachelorette party for her close pal, The Good Wife actress Jess Weixler, at the end of last year (15) and made sure to go all out after being an "absentee friend". This involved a trip to see Aussie male strippers Thunder From Down Under. Jessica knew her friend would love it, but didn't take into account how it may affect her movie star image.

"This woman comes over to me and she goes, 'Hello Miss Chastain, we're so happy you're here, here's our photographer,'" Jessica recalled to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel after explaining the venue was a "black box room" with fold up chairs and tables. "I was like, 'Please, I do not want a picture with some stranger's junk in my face on the internet.' And so I panicked and the lady went backstage and told the strippers to leave me alone."

Luckily they did, and the photos that did emerge online simply show her and the other bachelorettes having fun together.

Jessica describes herself as an absentee friend because she's constantly busy with work, often making seven films a year.

She's currently in the midst of promotional duties for The Huntsman: Winter's War and revealed her loyal followers in China have a powerful nickname for the star.

"Oh my gosh, I love China," she gushed. "I spent a week at the Singapore Film Festival a year ago and then I went back to Beijing, and I love the fans there. I'm not like, (Huntsman co-star) Chris Hemsworth or anything, but they have a nickname for me - Lady Model Worker.

"Not like a model as in, like... (pouts), like a model as in a great example of a worker. I was like, 'Finally, someone gets me!' I was in China like, yes! Because I do like seven films a year, so they call me Lady Model Worker and then Chris' nickname is Brother Hammer," she laughed.
