Jeremy Clarkson takes verbal battering
Jeremy Clarkson took a battering during his first appearance on the BBC since he was sacked for punching a producer.
The former 'Top Gear' presenter appears on tonight's episode (02.09.15) of 'Have I Got News for You' and is the butt of most of the jokes.
When guest Richard Osman asks Jeremy if he plans to call his 'Top Gear' successor Chris Evans, fellow guest Camilla Long tells the presenter: "Go on Jeremy, punch him."
To which Richard replied: "You remember how to punch don't you?" before panellist Paul Merton jokes: "Oooh, he's rolling up his sleeve."
However, Jeremy - who is fronting a motoring show for Amazon Prime alongside his fellow ex-'Top Gear' presenters Richard Hammond and James May - didn't just take it on the chin. When asked if he regretted the bust up, he said: "Yeah - apart from the pay rise."
Introducing himself at the start of the show, he said: "It's nice to be back. Welcome to 'Have I Got News For You'. I used to be Jeremy Clarkson ...
"I can't talk about cars on the BBC. I can't say the C word ... What are they going to do? F***ing sack me? They can't. This is fun."
