Jennifer Lawrence: 'I haven't felt the touch of a man for a while'
Jennifer Lawrence has found herself unlucky in love after dating Brits Nicholas Hoult and Chris Martin.
The Oscar winner told news show Extra she has been single for months, and jokes she is beginning to forget what intimacy feels like.
Asked why she was dateless at the premiere of her new IMAX film A Beautiful Planet, The Hunger Games star told reporters she doesn't have a boyfriend, adding, "I haven’t felt the touch of a man in (a while)... It's really sad."
Jennifer most recently dated Coldplay frontman Martin, but they split for good last year (15) after a year-long on/off romance. Before that, she was in a long-term relationship with her X-Men co-star Hoult.
As for what she's looking for in a man, Jennifer told Harper's Bazaar magazine she doesn't really have a "type".
"If I think about all of my ex-boyfriends, they are all so uncomparable," she told the publication, and suggested part of the reason she's single is linked to her success and the confidence she exudes, admitting people often seem threatened by her.
"There is zero reason to be intimidated by me. At all," she smiled.
In her latest film, Jennifer narrates an exploration of Earth and beyond as seen from the International Space Station, and the Hollywood A-lister admits she was thrilled when director Toni Myers asked her to be a part of the project.
"I'm really passionate about the environment and there’s a big environmental theme throughout the movie," she said. "I also love space, so the two together was a force that I couldn’t deny."
That wasn't the only thing she was getting serious about on the red carpet on Wednesday (27Apr16) - the actress also addressed body shaming, revealing she and best pal Amy Schumer were astonished when the comedienne was recently described as "plus-size" in a Glamour magazine special.
"There's so many different ways to be beautiful," she added. "Amy and I are always laughing about it, everyone always talks about us like, 'Look, plus size actresses!' Our idea of what is curvy is, like, so bizarre.
"We both just get together and we're like, 'Gosh man...' shoving food in our faces... 'Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just live like this and not have to read comments."
