Jason Momoa avoids wife Lisa Bonet's sex scenes
Actor Jason Momoa refuses to watch his wife Lisa Bonet in her hit show Ray Donovan, because he can't bear to watch her love scenes.
The Conan the Barbarian star reveals he has only tuned in for a few minutes of the crime drama, in which Bonet portrays Marisol, a woman who is involved in an incestuous relationship with her half-brother, boxing champ Hector, who is played by Ismael Cruz Cordova.
"I know she's kicking a**, she's on Ray Donovan," he explained to news show ET Canada. "But you know what the hard thing is? I just don't really wanna see certain things... I love her, it's our job, but I gotta (separate it)."
"(I'm like), 'I love you, I'm so proud of you, everyone's so stoked'," he continued. "I feel bad, but at the same time, I didn't want her to see (his sex scenes in Game of Thrones) and I don't necessarily want to see that (her love scenes). But I watched a couple scenes, so proud of her... it's great."
Momoa reveals he tried to ban Bonet from checking out his work as savage warrior Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, because his sex scenes with co-star Emilia Clarke were often incredibly brutal, but she ignored his pleas and became hooked on the fantasy series - even though her man is no longer a part of the show following his character's death.
"It's tough 'cause when I did Game of Thrones, I didn't want my wife to see it...," he recalled. "We were supposed to go to the premiere for the first two episodes, I was like... 'Nah, we're not going.' She was like, 'You're not gonna stop me from watching it...'
"The DVD (for season one) comes out... I wake up at 6am with my wife sitting over me... she's like, 'You're amazing.' First time my wife ever told me I was amazing. She was just so proud, she stayed up all night, watched the whole thing, and was obsessed!"
Momoa has kept in touch with his old Game of Thrones castmates and now he has learned to use his connections to tease his wife about upcoming storylines.
"Now, if I know a little thing, like, I'll say I'm hanging out with Rory (McCann), The Hound, and I'll be like, 'Hey baby...' So if I ever wanna mess with her, I'm like, 'Oh, you wanna know what happens in season seven?'"
The couple has been married since 2007.
