James Corden has packet of Wotsits on hand in US to kill homesickness

James Corden has a packet of cheesy Wotsits on standby at his nearby British sweet shop in America.

The 37-year-old comic has relocated across the pond after becoming the full-time host of 'The Late Late Show', but has found the best way to keep his homesickness at bay is by having some of his favourite home comforts at hand.

Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, he said: "People always ask me if I'm missing Marmite - no, I'm not! There's a British shop two minutes away from my house. I go in and they're holding a bag of Wotsits for me."

But it's not just his homesickness he's keen to keep in check as he also worries about how living so far away from friends and family in the UK will impact his young children.

James - who has a four-year-old son called Max and a 14-month-old daughter named Carey with his wife Julia Carey - said recently: "We are a long way from grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends. It is tough. But I am home much more than if I was making a film. I feel very conscious that my children are only going to be young once. And, as far as I can tell, no one ends up on a therapist's chair saying, 'My dad was around too much giving me too many cuddles.' "
