Goldie Hawn celebrates 'rare' family reunion ahead of Mother's Day
Actress Goldie Hawn feels blessed to have been reunited with her entire nuclear family ahead of Mother's Day.
The 70-year-old star walked the red carpet of her Annual Love In For Kids charity benefit in Beverly Hills on Friday (6May16) with longtime partner Kurt Russell, her three children Kate Hudson, Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell as well as her five grandchildren in tow.
And Goldie doesn't take her relatives' attendance lightly - celebrating the event, which supports her educational charity mindUP, with family by her side is a "rare" treat.
"We're not always at the same place -- Katie travels, Kurt is making a movie now," she explained to ET Online.
"This is always a blessing when we're all together in one place," she added, before referring to current astrological planetary phenomenon. "So even though there are five planets in retrograde now, the stars are aligned somewhere!"
Movie star Kate thought it was especially important to come out and support her mother's gala this year.
"My mum has been doing (this) for almost 20 years," the Almost Famous actress gushed. "It's been an amazing journey for her. It's very rare that the whole family would come and support like that, to be publicly like this. This is something that is so precious to my mum."
"We all just decided this was a really good opportunity to show our support and all the amazing work that she's doing," she continued before calling attention to Goldie's mindUP educational support charity. "This curriculum is reaching a lot of children. Over 600,000 children, and it just keep growing and growing. It's amazing what she's done."
Goldie and Kate will be celebrating Mother's Day with the rest of America on Sunday (8May16).
