Frankie Bridge wasn't prepared for motherhood
Frankie Bridge wasn't prepared for motherhood.
The Saturdays star has an 18-month-old son, Parker, with her husband Wayne Bridge and is currently five months pregnant with the couple's second child and she has revealed that in spite of all the advice she was given prior to giving birth she has still found it challenging adjusting to life as a mother.
Speaking to Star magazine, she said: "No matter how much you read or how much advice people give you, nothing can prepare you. It was a big adjustment - my priorities have changed massively. I no longer do things for myself, it's all about giving Parker the best life possible."
The 26-year-old singer makes a special effort to meet up with bandmates Una Foden - who has daughter Aoife, two and two-month-old son Tadhg, with her hubby Ben Foden - and Rochelle Humes, who has 23-month-old Alaia-Mai with Marvin Humes, so their kids can enjoy play dates together.
She said: "We speak all the time, even if we don't see each other as often as we do when we're working as band every day. And the Saturdays' kids get on brilliantly. It's so lovely to see them playing together.
"(Parker's) a bit too young to realise what's going on, but he's great with babies. We went to visit Una Foden and her new son Tadhg. Parker was obsessed with playing with him. So hopefully we won't have jealousy issues."
Frankie - who struggled with morning sickness through the early stages of pregnancy - added she is thankful that the severe nausea is starting to pass.
She said: "From seven weeks on it was awful - I don't think I've ever felt so ill. I was constantly nauseous and being sick. Thankfully the worst has past now."
