Eva Longoria: 'I didn't have to do any wedding planning!'

Eva Longoria left the planning of her wedding up to her sister-in-law.

The 41-year-old actress married television executive Jose 'Pepe' Baston in a lakeside ceremony in Mexico last month (May16), attended by friends and family including stars Melanie Griffith, Ricky Martin as well as David and Victoria Beckham.

While many brides-to-be find themselves suffering severe stress in the run up to their big day, Eva didn't have to worry about that as Pepe's sister Rosalia Baston is a wedding planner.

"Pepe's sister did it. She's an event planner in Mexico. We automatically used her and that's how we're kind of able to keep it quiet, because we kept it in the family. She really did everything," Eva told People.com.

"I loved it because I was so busy. Plus when you have such a small amount of people, there's not a lot to worry about. I kept going like, 'Isn't there more I should be worried about?' and it was never the case. I didn't have to do anything. There was no wedding planning, it planned itself."

Despite having a destination wedding, Eva was determined to have some touches that referenced her Texas hometown. So she also enlisted the help of U.S. wedding planner Troy Williams.

"We had my dear friend Troy who's a wedding planner here to kind of put the American touch on it because, if not, we're going to be having dinner at 11!" Eva shared. "I'm like 'Troy, please help Americanise a little bit, cause I'm Mexican American.' So, Troy did that and helped out on that side."

After their civil ceremony at the home of Emilio Azcarraga, the owner of Mexican multimedia company Televisa, of which Pepe is an executive, the couple had a second ceremony in the gardens of Eva and Pepe's home the day after.
