Eddie Murphy: 'I don't do diaper duty'

Eddie Murphy refuses to change dirty diapers, because he knows he would be terrible.

The funnyman has just become a dad for the ninth time after his model girlfriend Paige Butcher gave birth to a baby girl named Izzy Oona in May (16), but don't expect him to be the type of father who loves to get his hands dirty in the nursery.

"I don't change diapers," he tells news show Extra. "I would be horrible at it and that's not fair to the child."

Eddie reveals little Izzy has just started sleeping through the night, adding, "She’s doing wonderfully". And the Beverly Hills Cop star insists his baby daughter has been a welcome addition to his ever-expanding family.

"Everybody's really cool with each other and it’s all love all the way around everybody gets along that’s a good thing," he smiles. "It's a love fest at the house."

Little Izzy joined the Murphy clan on 3 May (16), weighing in at seven pounds, 15 ounces, and measuring 19-and-a-half inches long. The newborn is Eddie's ninth child, but his first with Paige, who he began dating in 2012.

Eddie also has sons Eric, 27, and Christian, 25, from two former girlfriends as well as children Bria, 26, Myles, 23, Shayne, 21, Zola, 16, and Bella, 14, from his 12-year marriage to Nicole Mitchell, who he divorced in 2006.

He also has nine-year-old daughter Angel with former Spice Girls star Mel B. She was born on the actor's 46th birthday back in April, 2007.

Eddie's current girlfriend, Izzy's mother, is an actress who has appeared in Something's Gotta Give and Big Momma's House 2.
