Ed Skrein: I'm only crazy on camera
Actor Ed Skrein uses his movies to let out his "crazy side".
The former rapper has taken over from Jason Statham in the Transporter franchise, making his first appearance as badass Frank Martin in latest instalment Refueled.
But while he's down with all the action scenes, he lives his private life at a much slower pace.
"I'm definitely not as cool as Frank!" he laughed to Germany's Bravo magazine. "My private life is nowhere near as exciting. I like to relax and spend time with my family. I let my crazy side out via my work."
In The Transporter Refueled, Frank finds himself in the South of France, taking on a femme fatale and her three sidekicks. While his character is completely fearless, Ed has a soft side.
"I worry about losing a friend or family member - but that's understandable," he reasoned. "But besides that, I don't actually get scared. For example, I never fret about getting a new job. My motto is: never be scared of new challenges!"
It's lucky Ed is so relaxed, as taking over a role from someone as famous as Jason is always daunting. Especially because he really idolises the actor.
In fact, he even hopes they may get to team up on the silver screen in the future.
"I’d love to work with him at some point if he was interested and it was right for the both of us. He’s incredible and his skills in the action field are incredibly advanced. If I work hard and train hard, I can only hope to be close to what he’s achieved," he previously told screenrant.com.
