Drew Barrymore's estranged sister-in-law: 'We're family forever'
Drew Barrymore's sister-in-law Jill Kargman insists they'll remain family despite her impending divorce from her brother.
The Charlie's Angel's star and Will Kopelman announced their separation earlier this month (Apr16), and in the public statement, the former couple vowed to focus on family and its daughters Olive and Frankie, and Kopelman's sister Jill is keeping with that message by insisting that she and Drew are "sisters forever".
Drew will also appear in her sister-in-law's TV series Odd Mom Out, playing a neighbour who survives a blizzard with Jill's character, who is a fictionalised version of herself.
"(Barrymore) was a really good guest star," Kargman told People.com. "Wonderful. It was fabulous... She did a beautiful job."
Despite her impending divorce, Drew insists she has found happiness and wishes she knew her life would turn out exactly the way it is going now when she was younger.
"I just feel like my whole life was collecting things in a butterfly net of experience," she said at the Safe Kids Day 2016 on Sunday (24Apr16). "What to do, what not to do, how to live, how not to live, how to be free, happy. Just gaining every bit of wisdom that I could, all for that because I cannot remember life before kids. It seems like a dream..."
"Everyone wishes that they could know what they know now in a romantic and poetic way because I am so happy now and I have such a good thing in my life with my kids," she added. "So there is always that want to go into that 12-year-old's room and say, 'It's going to be alright. It's actually going to be great!' Maybe I would have listened to that."
