Drew Barrymore: I’m no spring chicken!
Drew Barrymore is “no spring chicken” when it comes to childrearing.
The 40-year-old actress shares daughters Olive, two, and Frankie, 15 months, with her art consultant husband Will Kopelman.
And on the topic of further family expansion, Drew has no idea whether she wants to bear another child.
"I think I'm good right now, but I don't know,” she told Us Weekly magazine. “The door's open, but I'm no spring chicken. I have to figure it out sooner or later.”
Drew and Will tied the knot in 2012 after dating for about a year.
She was known as somewhat of a wild child as a young woman, but motherhood has given her a new perspective on behaviour.
“[I'm always surprised at] how intense of an internal battle it always is," Drew said of parenthood. "You will never be the same again. So trying to get back to your old self in any way, whether it's like, 'I'm back to work and I'll go back to the person I was at my office!' you're not the same. You're forever changed. It's a new you and it's a new set of mountains to climb. But they're wonderful and I wouldn't trade them for anything."
Drew is happy with every aspect of her life right now.
She especially appreciates having a happy home.
“I feel like my life is in total abundance,” Drew said.
The star also has a lot going on professionally at this time. She is currently producing forthcoming romcom How to Be Single, which reaches American theatres February 12, 2016.
