Drake opens Asian restaurant Fring's in Toronto

Drake held a grand opening for his new restaurant in Toronto on Monday night (21.09.15).

The Canadian rapper has begun a surprise alternative venture alongside his music career in the food industry and has started by unveiling a specialist Asian eatery called Fring's, which is a joint partnership with head chef Susur Lee.

The 'Take Care' hitmaker put on a celebratory bash at the food place in his hometown, with his rumoured beau Serena Williams and Jada Pinket Smith and son Jaden Smith in attendance.

Drake got stuck into the event and even delivered a plate of sliders and fries to his guests Serena and Jada, who sipped champagne and ate canapes in the VIP area.

The menu is to feature Asian delights influenced by Lee mixed with high-end bar snacks, according to FASHION magazine.

The 28-year-old hip hop artist is yet to release a statement on his new business, however he announced the arrival of Fring's through a Vine graphic art video days before.

Alongside the short clip which features anime styled drawings with the name of the food house flashed at the end, he wrote: "So excited for the opening of Fring's in Toronto! Congrats to the family Susur Lee , @levibentlee @kaibentlee1 @ovogelo @fringstoronto (sic)"
