David Schwimmer stunned by Friends reunion
David Schwimmer has gushed about how "lovely" reuniting with his Friends co-stars was.
The actor found fame on the sitcom alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt Le Blanc. Over the weekend (23-24Jan16) the group got together in honour of TV director James Burrows, who directed many episodes of the hit show during its decade-long run. Although Perry wasn't in attendance fans were still sent into meltdown by the prospect of the other five stars being in the same place at the same time, and it seems Schwimmer was just as excited.
"It was just lovely to all be in the same room," he told ET.
"He is a prolific director and he really, really helped forge the cast as an ensemble. He really clarified all those relationships from the get go."
Stars of The Big Bang Theory were also in attendance for the taping of the tribute programme, with Kaley Cuoco sharing a photorgraph of the Friends actors alongside herself and her co-stars Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Jim Parsons on Instagram.
Schwimmer is currently promoting his new TV show The People v. O.J. Simpson, in which he plays attorney Robert Kardashian, who helped defend sportsman OJ after he was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. It also stars Selma Blair as Robert's wife Kris Jenner, as well as John Travolta and Cuba Gooding Jr.
"I wanted to get it right and luckily I was able to speak to Kris Jenner for some time," Schwimmer explained. "I really got to understand who he was as a father and as a husband. He was such a big devoted family man and he was a man of great humility and faith. That played a major role for me in playing him."
