David Beckham to become Sky Sports pundit?

David Beckham is set to become a sports pundit.

The 40-year-old former footballer - who retired from the game in 2013 - has hinted that he may become a regular guest on Sky Sports after he uploaded a photograph online of him being interviewed by Kirsty Gallacher for a special episode to mark the channel's 25-year anniversary.

Writing on Instagram, he said: "Enjoyed visiting the @skysports studio today to do a special show with @gallacherkirsty can't believe @skysports is nearly 25 years old. It's been the home of many incredible sporting moments and some very personal ones for me also. (sic)"

And this career move certainly won't be uncommon as former footballer Gary Neville also made the switch.

Speaking to the Star newspaper, Jessica Bridges from Ladbrokes bookmakers said: "It's not often Becks follows in Neville's footsteps but the odds firmly suggest he's in the hot seat for a spot in the Sky Sports studio."

Meanwhile, David - who has children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 11, and Harper, four, with wife Victoria - has made no secret of the fact he's missing the game.

He said previously: "I miss soccer every day. I don't know whether it's the athlete in me, or the passion I have for the game: I always think that I can step back on the field and play... You know, maybe I could play another year in the US. If I was still living in LA, I'd probably really seriously think about coming back for a year. But we're living in London, and the kids are happy in the school..."
