Daisy Ridley: Workout sessions are like therapy
Daisy Ridley's workout regime has become her "therapy".
The 23-year-old actress - who is set to appear in the JJ Abrams-directed 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' - has revealed the crucial role her intense gym sessions play in her life at the moment, admitting it's the only structure she currently enjoys.
The British star said: "It became my solace because it's the only thing structured in my life right now. Training is sort of a therapy session, I guess."
Daisy also admitted she restricted herself to carbohydrate-free meals when she was shooting the new movie, which is set for release next month.
She shared: "I had lots of fish, legumes, and spirulina shakes."
Meanwhile, Daisy revealed she hopes young women will take inspiration from her on-screen character Rey, insisting they needn't flash any flesh in order to be noticed.
She told the December issue of Elle magazine: "[Rey is] so strong. She's cool and smart and she can look after herself. Young girls can look at her and know that they can wear trousers if they want to.
"That they don't have to show off their bodies."
