Courtney Love 'fires back at biographer'

Courtney Love has reportedly denied she owes biographer Anthony Bozza any money.

The feud is currently being played out in court, after Anthony claimed in April that the blonde rocker had only paid him a third of the estimated $300,000 she owed him for writing her book.

Anthony is suing Courtney, but New York Daily News’ [email protected] column reports she has now hit back.

She filed her reply in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. In it she denies she owes any money and also rejects Anthony’s claims that he wrote the manuscript to her specifications. She insists she didn’t approve it at various stages, like Anthony has claimed.

Her legal filing starts by pointing out that she was “erroneously sued as Courtney Love”, when her name is actually Cobain. After marrying Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in 1992, Courtney added his name to hers legally.

She also outlines that she wants to be reimbursed for court costs and “other relief as the court deems proper”.

In April 2014 Courtney said her memoir, Girl with the Most Cake, may not be released but then in July she said it was coming soon.

Anthony has penned successful biographies for the likes of Slash, Tommy Lee and Tracy Morgan.

Courtney has recently been speaking about her regrets in life, revealing she’s had some serious doubts on marriage and work.

The 51-year-old juggles a music career with the odd acting job. She was married to James Moreland before she wed Kurt.

"I have a lot of regrets, of course I do. I shouldn’t have married that one, I should have taken that part; I should have maybe married that one, I don’t know, but I didn’t," she recently told Citizens of Humanity magazine.

"So I am what I am and I’m pretty confident that I can break in. I think what I have to offer on film and on television is honest and I’m more disciplined than I was ever before."
