Christie Brinkley remains defiant over trespasser spray-down

Christie Brinkley has no regrets after hosing down a woman who attempted to relieve herself near the former supermodel's New York property over the weekend (02-03Jul16).

The 62-year-old model was hosting a party to celebrate America's Independence Day (04Jul16) holiday at her Sag Harbor Cove home in the Hamptons on Saturday night (02Jul16) when she spotted Erica Remkus preparing to urinate on a patch of sand on the outskirts of her pad.

Recalling the incident, the hairdresser told the New York Post's Page Six column Brinkley started screaming at her, shouting: "What are you doing?!' You can't pee in front of my house! You have to go away. You're standing on my rocks. You can't pee on my rocks. I walk there!"

Remkus responded, "These are not your rocks. This is not your beach. The beach is public property. You don't own it" - but her fighting words infuriated Billy Joel's ex-wife and the pretty blonde decided to take matters into her own hands by grabbing her garden hose and blasting Remkus with water.

The spraying incident only drove Remkus to retaliate by peeing as she had originally intended, prompting Brinkley to call the police. However, officers decided not to arrest Remkus as charges are only typically filed if cops witness the public urination take place.

Christie has since addressed the unexpected clash in an email statement issued to the New York Daily News, which reads: "I know it's Independence Day but that does not mean (you are) free to pee right in front of my guests and me (sic) at my fireworks gathering," she wrote.

She then poked fun at Remkus by suggesting she invest in adult diapers Depends, adding, "Maybe the trespasser should celebrate Depends Day, as I was forced to hose down her mess."
