Chloe Grace Moretz honoured at film festival
Newly-single actress Chloe Grace Moretz was honoured at a film festival on Friday night (02Sep16).
The 19-year-old received the Young Hollywood Award as a tribute to her blossoming career at the Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France.
Moretz wore a floor-length, floral Erdem gown and shared her pride at the honour with a snap on Instagram, writing alongside it: "Thank you so much for this immense honour #deauville2016."
During her acceptance speech, she talked about the "humble" and "responsible" previous Deauville honourees who have inspired her, including Julianne Moore, Denzel Washington and Jessica Chastain.
"People who have received this prize before me have gone to accomplish astounding things in their careers so I definitely feel the weight of this prize," she said.
The film festival was Chloe's first public appearance since news broke of her split from on-and-off beau Brooklyn Beckham. Her relationship with the 17-year-old reportedly ended earlier this week (ends04Sep16) after a summer-long romance.
The annual Deauville American Film Festival is devoted to American cinema, and has been taking place in France since 1975. Daniel Radcliffe is also set to be honoured with the festival's Young Hollywood Award, while Stanley Tucci and James Franco will receive career tributes.
