Caitlyn ‘worried for Kylie’
Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly deeply concerned her daughter Kylie might elope.
Kylie turns 18 on August 10 and has been dating 25-year-old rapper Tyga since last year. Their romance has caused widespread consternation because of the age gap and because the hip-hop star has a son with his ex-fiancée Blac Chyna.
Kylie has helped the rumours along by wearing rings on her engagement finger, although she's insisted she isn't engaged. However, it seems Caitlyn, who is her father and was known as Bruce before her transition, is concerned.
"Cait... worries Kylie is getting out of control and is on the verge of eloping with Tyga," an insider told British magazine Heat. "It's apparently about a call Cait overheard Khloé [Kardashian, Kylie’s half sister] having with Kylie, in which Khloé kept saying, 'Don't do it, you're too young to get married.' Cait is worried that if it all goes wrong, Tyga could end up with Kylie's money."
In fact, it was this which was the catalyst for Caitlyn and her ex-wife Kris Jenner meeting for the first time. The pair were married for 22 years before their split in 2013, and Kris had no idea Caitlyn identified as a woman throughout their union.
It is said to have caused some issues between them, particularly after Caitlyn wasn't that flattering about Kris in a Vanity Fair article used to debut her new self in June.
It seems the women have put all that behind them now though.
"Kris was the first to cry, then Caitlyn cried, too. It was so emotional that when Kris called Kim [Kardashian, her daughter] to tell her that she and Caitlyn were 'healing' she could barely get the words out," the insider said.
